Work For Us

There are a number of roles and opportunities to work in a voluntary capacity for Relate Lancashire.

Reception Staff
Voluntary receptionists are a vital part of our organisation who greet clients, manage the office diary and take contributions from the clients. Receptionists are needed in each of our Lancashire offices and should be willing to offer at least three hours a month, preferably during the evenings. Receptionists must be punctual and be able to maintain confidentiality. Travel expenses are paid.

Counsellors
Our counsellors are all highly trained and qualified professionals who adhere to the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Guidelines (BACP). There are a number of levels of training offered by the Relate Institute. Someone with an individual counselling qualification may be able to take a short Relate Institute course to convert to Relationship Therapy.

Whilst on a course with the institute, counsellors are required to have a work placement usually in their local area.

Trustees
District representatives are required to attend bi-monthly board meetings in the Preston office on a Monday afternoon and would bring networking skills to the organisation to represent the agency at a local level and help promote the services in order to develop the organisation.
